Job Description
The Data Analyst reports to the VP of Strategy and Business Operations, and is responsible for interpreting data, analyzing results, and providing insights to support data-driven decision-making across the organization. This role requires a strong aptitude for statistical analysis, data visualization, and a keen understanding of NYPCC’s organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, organize, and analyze large datasets to extract valuable insights.
- Utilize statistical methods to interpret data and identify trends and patterns.
- Perform thorough data validation and verification to ensure accuracy.
- Prepare reports and presentations summarizing analysis results to identify trends, patterns and predictions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization based on data analysis.
- Maintain and update databases, data models, and data documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor and leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related work field
- 2-3 years of experience conducting data analysis, preferably in a health care setting
- MUST have experience working with PowerBi or other BI tools
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills and organizational skills
- Demonstrated experience working with small groups and interdisciplinary teams
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Office, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Experience in SQL and R and/or Python a plus
- Experience working with Salesforce a plus
- Maintains a positive attitude and is friendly, upbeat, and has a great “can do” personality
- Able to work well in a fast-paced environment and adapt to agency operational requirements
- Passionate about NYPCC’s mission and values
- Able to establish and sustain professional boundaries with all staff
- Experience in conducting conflict resolution meetings
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent time-management skills
Additional Information
Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.
