As an RN, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional care, from initial introduction to final send-off. In this role, you will interact directly with patients, families and visitors, offering the opportunity to enhance their experience and supply healthcare information as needed. This is a critical care position, you will respond to adult and pediatric calls, and critical time sensitive needs like central line insertion. You will work with Epic, data abstraction (chart audit and chart reviews to track patient if they remain on the unit) and data entry upon completion of responding to a call. 


A caregiver in this position works nights, 7:00pm—7:00am.   


A caregiver who excels in this role will:  

  • Provide direct nursing care. 

  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.  

  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.  

  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments. 

  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.  

  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. 

  • Educate patients and their families.   


Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:  

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing 

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)  

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) 

  • One year of current acute care RN experience. Will consider military RN experience 

  • Two years of ICU or ED RN experience  

  • Quick-thinking/critical-care mindset/ and a reassuring attitude are essential  


Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor of science in nursing (BSN)
