The Role:

As a Clinical Development Intern with Moderna from the EMJM LIVE program, you will contribute to the clinical development of mRNA norovirus vaccines. You will assist with an ongoing Phase 3 norovirus vaccine program, which includes several ongoing clinical studies ranging from Phase 1 to Phase 3, as well as preparation for interim analyses, marketing submissions and preparing for launch. As part of the norovirus cross-functional program team you will also work with epidemiology, biostatistics, program management, clinical operations, medical affairs, and commercial members to advance the development program.
Active participation in internal project and study team meetings will further enhance your knowledge and allow you to contribute to the collective effort. This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in vaccinology, contribute to a late-stage vaccine program in an area of unmet medical need, applying analytical skills and make a tangible impact in infectious disease prevention. Depending on the interest of the Intern, additional opportunities with our Artificial Intelligence team may also be explored.
This position is eligible for limited immigration sponsorship for individuals who are able to secure a work visa prior to the start of the program.
Here’s What You’ll Do:
This internship position will contribute to the clinical development of mRNA norovirus vaccines. Your responsibilities will include the following, dependent on timing of development program activities during your internship:
Assisting in the start-up and conduct of a Phase 3 clinical study including participating in global regulatory interactions and engagement with study investigators.
Contributing to blinded data review and participating in data monitoring meetings.
Assisting in the preparation for planned analyses of ongoing studies in the program including participating in team review of analysis plans and contributing to drafting of analysis reports.
Participating in team discussions of epidemiology study collaborations, and researching and learning about the epidemiology of norovirus and how the shifting epidemiology globally can impact the vaccine program.
Participating in internal project and study team meetings.
Here’s What You’ll Need (Basic Qualifications):
Currently a Masters 2 student in the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master: Leading International Vaccinology Education (EMJM: LIVE) program
Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications):
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply data-driven insights to inform decision-making
Intense curiosity and demonstrated ability to learn and apply learnings to future research and action plans
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Prior relevant research and analysis experience
Fluency in English
