About the role

Seeking a Project Manager with commercial landscape construction experience for a direct hire opportunity with our client in Indianapolis, IN.

This position offers full benefits including PTO, Medical, Dental and 401k!  

Pay: $28 - $35 hourly (based on experience)

The Landscape Construction Project Manager oversees commercial landscape construction projects from pre-construction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in alignment with quality standards. This role works closely with estimating, sales, field teams, subcontractors, and clients to drive efficient project execution, maintain profitability, and build strong working relationships.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple commercial landscape construction projects from planning through completion.
  • Monitor project budgets, job costs, schedules, labor productivity, and profitability.
  • Coordinate field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct job cost reviews, forecasting, and risk assessments to identify and resolve issues early.
  • Review and process change orders, billing, documentation, and project closeout activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and jobsite quality expectations.
  • Perform site visits and inspections to monitor progress and workmanship.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Support business growth by identifying additional project opportunities and strengthening client relationships.
  • Assist in developing field leadership through coaching and performance feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Landscape Architecture, or related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction or landscape construction.
  • Experience managing multi-crew commercial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, job costing, and subcontractor management.
  • Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Familiarity with project management platforms such as Aspire, LMN, or Procore preferred.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • OSHA and jobsite safety knowledge preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license required.

Work Environment

Combination of office and field work requiring regular jobsite visits, extended walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
