It is where our exclusive Max Originals and iconic entertainment brands thrive, with HBO, HBO Max, Warner Bros., DC, Turner Classic Movies, Cartoon Network, and more delivering the greatest array of series, movies, and specials for audiences of all ages. HBO Max launched in the United States in May 2020 and introduced a lower-priced, advertising-supported tier in June 2021. It rolled out globally across Latin America and the Caribbean in 2021, followed by its first European launches in the Nordics and Spain later that year. In May 2023, Warner Bros. Discovery introduced Max, an enhanced streaming platform, in the U.S. HBO Max is currently available in 46 countries, and there are plans for the continued global expansion of Max in 2024.

Meet Our Team

DTC’s software engineering teams build applications for the web, mobile, tablets, connected TVs, consoles, and other streaming devices. Every customer starts their wonderful journey into the world of WBD through DTC’s Identity and Growth teams. We ensure customers can seamlessly authenticate and authorize across all WBD brands.

We are a fast-growing, global engineering group that is crucial to WBD’s future. We are looking for a software development engineer passionate about solving complex engineering challenges. This position will oversee a critical backend team responsible for developing features on the Global Authorization & Authentication platform, which integrates with our partners across the globe. Our services maintain user identity and subscription for our MVPD customers.  You will help build & scale the GAuth Platform for all WBD brands and customers. 

Roles & Responsibilities

You will be part of a dedicated team that builds scalable platforms for different products in WBD. The team is currently based in the US. 

·       You lead in designing and developing major functional changes to existing software systems, or new ones, involving yourself and other engineers. You make good decisions about when to build new and when to extend existing. You are known for your subject matter expertise

·       Your work and approach to work are exemplary. You drive best practices and set standards for your team. You can propose and create best practices proactively where none exist.

• You write high-quality, maintainable, and robust code. You may have experience in more than one language and understand the fundamentals of software engineering well enough to learn new languages and frameworks when needed.
• You understand a broad range of data structures, algorithms design and know-how, when, and when not to use them. You can evaluate run-time performance and understand how to trade off performance using a variety of algorithm and data structure approaches.
• You are comfortable advising others through code reviews, design reviews, and feedback on operational excellence. You are also comfortable receiving feedback and using it to
