The Transportation Department at Academy of Art University is seeking an experienced Dispatcher that will provide superior customer service in a safe, courteous and reliable manner; this is essential to the transportation team’s success in providing passengers with the best possible experience.

Responsibilities:
- Dispatches Extra-board drivers as needed according to standard procedures.
- Prepares assignment sheets, passenger count sheets, and other routine driver paperwork
- Responds to Transportation Helpdesk calls and emails regarding basic questions (shuttle service schedule, lost and found items, public transit connections)
- Triages management-level concerns received via Helpdesk calls and email to Operations Manager for follow-up (service complaints, safety concerns, job inquiries)
- Schedules and delivers transportation department vehicles for service and repair as needed.
- Schedules and delivers all vehicles for preventative maintenance every 45 days in compliance with Federal Regulations.
- When needed, transports students between facilities on time according to schedule.
- When driving, ensure vehicle safety by adhering to vehicle and traffic safety regulations at all times. Also includes performing safety inspections before and after every shift and following regulated procedure for all accidents and breakdowns.
- Reflect courteous and helpful image at all times: call out stops; return all lost and found items to security; maintain neat and clean appearance.
- In addition to complying with Academy policies and procedures, all drivers must comply with all DOT and FMCSA requirements.
Requirements:
- Possess and maintain a valid Class B and California driver's license with passenger endorsement.
- Possess a minimum of two years of professional passenger driving experience.
- Be friendly, patient and enjoy interacting with others.
- San Francisco street knowledge
- Ability to be vigilant while driving throughout downtown San Francisco.
Shift available: Monday - Friday 6am to 2:30pm
Compensation: $22.00 per hour.
This is a fixed term position.
