Senior Staff Systems Verification & Validation Engineer

Job Description

The Senior Staff Systems Verification & Validation (V&V) Engineer is a recognized authority both within the field of testing and Philips who participates in and guides the team in all aspects of V&V.

Your role:

  • Define test strategies, project test approaches including the execution strategy and high-level concepts for testing systems.

  • Influence product solutions for the harmonization and standardization to improve quality and robustness.

  • Define and improve key progress indicators including: requirement coverage, test protocol effectiveness, test execution and defect identification and closure.

  • Maintain a level of technical competence through training, literature, technical contacts, and industry competition.

You're the right fit if:

  • You’ve acquired 7+ years of experience in verification and validation of electromechanical medical devices.

  • Your skills include proficiency with data management tools/configuration management, deep insight in engineering/architecture/research, an understanding of other engineering disciplines, adapting conventional techniques to solve complex problems.

  • You have the ability to demonstrate use of skills to overcome technical challenges and teach others to do the same.

  • You have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or business discipline or alike experience.

  • You must be able to successfully perform the following minimum Physical, Cognitive and Environmental job requirements with or without accommodation for this position

  • You’re able to coach and motivate a team, manage stakeholders, communicate at all levels of the organization, work on a variety of simple and complex problems, support many projects, and work independently to meet project needs.

Company relocation benefits will not be provided for this position.  For this position, you must reside in or within commuting distance to Pittsburgh, PA.
