Job Overview
Direct operations related to curriculum management within the Office of the Provost – Academic Affairs to enhance student success. Interpret and administer state, federal, and institutional policies to manage the university’s curricular operations. Enact curricular changes in response to assessment of student success outcomes and in compliance with the University of Cincinnati’s faculty governance processes, as well as the Ohio Department of Higher Education's guidelines and procedures. Support student success by efficiently enacting faculty-driven curricular changes in response to assessment findings.
Essential Functions
- Direct operations related to curriculum management in the Office of the Provost with emphasis on processing curricular changes to enhance student success.
- In partnership with Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) and university stakeholders, work with team to evaluate technology systems used to manage curricular information; manage projects to implement system changes as needed.
- Partner with the Office of Institutional Research, Undergraduate Affairs, Graduate College, Enrollment Management, and academic analytics team members to coordinate delivery of assessment findings to colleges and academic programs.
- Administer time-sensitive processes to efficiently modify academic programs’ curriculum in compliance with faculty governance processes and UC’s operational needs.
- Proactively identify concerns related to student success or compliance.
- Counsel faculty and college administrators on processing modifications to the curriculum in response to analysis of student success outcomes and/or compliance needs.
- Direct operations to review and approve academic program proposals and modifications to ensure compliance with ODHE policies including (but not limited to) the Ohio Transfer 36 (OT36), and Higher Learning Commission (HLC) obligations.
- Proactively implement technology solutions to process curricular operations. Coordinate and advise partners on using technology to perform relevant curricular operations.
- Interpret and implement requirements of relevant university rules and the faculty Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) in partnership with relevant stakeholders.
- Interpret and implement requirements of the Ohio Department of Higher Education (ODHE); specifically related to the Articulation and Transfer Policy.
- Direct processes to update academic program records including (but not limited to) published academic requirements; course prerequisites; placement of coursework in curricular schema; the minimum number of credit hours required per program; and other data elements prioritized by the Office of the Provost.
- Provide leadership in annual processes to check academic programs’ status and administer audits to maintain accurate program information.

Required Education
Bachelor’s Degree
Required Experience
- Five (5) years of related experience
- Experience must be in higher education academic affairs, student services, registrar, assessment/compliance, accreditation, or similar area.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate policy information and review decisions effectively.
Additional Qualifications Considered
- Terminal degree is ideal.
- Experience with data-informed decision making and academic evaluation process, i.e., program reviews and accreditation reviews.
