Title of role:  Maintenance Partsroom Coordinator

In this role, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team, working closely with maintenance, engineers, production, and suppliers. Your ability to communicate clearly, solve problems collaboratively, and anticipate the needs of the team and plant will contribute to minimize equipment downtime and ensure efficient manufacturing operations.

Location of the job: Jonesboro, AR

Base Pay:  $28.03 per hour during evaluation period; After successful completion of evaluation period, the pay will increase to $28.49 per hour. Paid weekly

Shift: 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday thru Friday

What You’ll Do:

  • Purchase Orders: Create and issue purchase orders for indirect goods and services, ensuring accuracy in requisitions, pricing, terms, and conditions.

  • Shipping Verification: Verify incoming shipments against invoices and packing lists to ensure accuracy and project delivery dates expected on orders over $1,500

  • Communication: Coordinate with suppliers, buyers, and support groups on order quantities and deliveries.

  • Record Keeping: Maintain records of departmental commitments and provide monthly spend reports.

  • Invoice Reconciliation: Resolve invoice issues, validate deliveries, and close purchase orders upon completion.

  • Inventory Management: Order and receive parts and supplies, monitor inventory levels, and address discrepancies.

  • Tax Compliance: Review taxable status of purchases and ensure compliance with state tax laws.

  • Blanket Orders: Manage and track spend against blanket orders, reporting to department managers and Finance.

  • Vendor Coordination: Coordinate service work with vendors, ensuring safety concerns are addressed.

  • Vendor Management: Maintaining the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation.

  • Reporting: Develop spreadsheets for communication and reporting purposes.

  • Problem Solving: Identify, prioritize, and address problems using appropriate tools and techniques.

  • Interaction: Regularly interact with maintenance technicians and third-party vendors.

What You’ll Need To Succeed

  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience working as a production line mechanic, facilities mechanic or parts /purchasing /storeroom technician.

  • Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning

  • Good general shop knowledge

  • Proficient knowledge of parts and materials as well as their nomenclature.

  • Good math skills

  • Ability to compose reports to effectively communicate results /conclusions

  • Proficient in MS office Suite applications, strong emphasis on Work and Excel.

  • Demonstrate effective organizational skills to handle multi-tasking.

  • Communicate clearly to production team, support staff, supervision, maintenance department and vendors, both verbally and written to maintain high service levels.  Computer skills required.
