Job Summary
Under general direction, the position coordinates and provides office and administrative support for internal operations for the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. The position provides the full range of administrative support functions to the Director of Athletics in addition to other members of the Intercollegiate Athletics executive team. This position requires comprehensive and detailed knowledge of the university infrastructure, the ability to independently interpret policies and procedures, the ability to establish multiple priorities, independently complete day-to-day and long-term complex projects, resolve problems and issues as they arise, attain expertise in new software technology, achieve expedited critical timelines, and to evaluate and respond appropriately to sensitive and confidential situations. This position involves troubleshooting and problem solving both individually and in groups in order to expedite and/or resolve problems as they arise. Additional assignments are often of a project nature, requiring initiation, execution, coordination, implementation and evaluation. The position requires use of general office equipment and the full range of office support technology and systems.
Department Summary
The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 21 sports at the NCAA Division I level, employing approximately 50 coaches, 25 staff and administrators, and serving approximately 500 student-athletes.
Key Qualifications
- Provide confidential administrative support to the AD, and members of the Athletics executive team.
- Provide support for staff and coach recruitment selection committees, including arranging and coordinating on-campus interviews for candidates, travel arrangements and itineraries.
- Plan department events and meetings; work with campus service providers and off-campus vendors.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Five years of general office support or technical experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience)
Salary and Benefits
Anticipated Hiring Range: $50,962 - $66,534 Per Year
Classification Range: $48,696 - $79,836 Per Year

The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
