The Mission Integration Organization (within the Space Security Business Unit and the Tactical Space Systems Division) is seeking a motivated and talented Mission Manager (Manager, Programs 2) to join the Space Security Software Factory leadership team. This individual will oversee Peregrine, our modeling & simulation product that supports operator training and force exercises, and our related investments to expand our modeling and simulation capabilities. Additionally, this individual will be responsible for:

  • Creating responses to RFP/RFI/ROMs for emerging missions and enhancements to current systems

  • Executing on early-phase and/or quick-reaction stakeholder needs

  • Managing and executing concurrent projects

  • Leading all phases of assigned programmatic efforts from inception through completion

  • Owning the cost, schedule and technical performance of assigned programmatic efforts

  • Participating in contractual change management, negotiation of contracts, and contract changes

  • Interfacing with internal and external customers for assigned program activities, leading program review sessions with customers to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance

  • Establishing design concepts, criteria and engineering efforts for product research, development, integration and test

  • Working with business development and capture management team members to develop new business and enhance the product

  • Establishing milestones and monitoring adherence to master plans and schedules, identifying program problems and obtaining solutions, such as allocation of resources or changing contractual specifications

  • Coordination amongst functional, security and site leadership to ensure access to needed resources in support of successful project execution

  • Leading the work of employees assigned from technical, manufacturing and administrative areas. A successful candidate is solution oriented, motivated, can-do, organized, and enjoys working with a diverse team creating complex and challenging solutions critical to our nation’s security. Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance/SCI

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 8 years, or Master’s and 6 years’ experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers and/or project management in other industries

  • Experience leading the performance of tasks on schedule, at cost and achieving requirements as either project lead, integrated program team or cost account manager

  • Demonstrated success leading teams/and or organizations to achieve a common goal

  • Experience with agile software development and associated toolsets

  • Experience in the space industry with design, operations, engineering, program management, or any other related discipline

  • Communications: The ability to manage communications with stakeholders to ensure that program information is defined, collected, shared, understood, stored and retrieved in a manner that effectively meets program and stakeholder needs

  • Issue & Problem Resolution: The ability to identify and address program impacts through a systematic, proactive, approach to issue and problem resolution that identifies, communicates, monitors, and promptly resolves conflicts across all levels of the program.

  • Planning, Scheduling & Earned Value: The ability to initiate, develop, integrate, execute, direct and control program plans and cost and schedule baselines that meet both program contractual requirements and stakeholder expectations
