Job Description
About the Position:
Central Oklahoma Community Mental Health Center (COCMHC) in Norman, Oklahoma provides Registered Nurses with the opportunity to work within the Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT) team. The PACT program serves individuals with severe and persistent mental health disorders, including schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder with psychotic features.
The program is designed to support clients in achieving and maintaining stability within their homes and communities. Services are delivered in community-based settings across Cleveland and McClain counties, including client homes. Registered Nurses function as part of a multidisciplinary treatment team, collaborating with other professionals to assess needs, coordinate care, and provide ongoing support to clients.
Primary Duties Include (but are not limited to):
Attending daily interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
Coordinating with pharmacies and doctors to order and pick up medications for both psychological and physical health.
Assembling medications into med minders boxes for each client.
Traveling to community locations and client homes to give oral medications and administer long-acting injectables, taking vitals, and discussing medications, side effects, and symptoms with the clients.
Updating the medication record, trackers, and entering information in the medical record.
Participate in nightly on-call, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Work toward Behavioral Health Case Manager certification.

Additional Compensation: Along with our great benefits we also offer additional compensation for working outside of normal business hours! These shift differentials are stacked on top of your base pay when working evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays.
In addition to permanent roles, this position also offers the option of temporary employment, providing added flexibility for interested candidates.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Registered Nurse I: Associate in nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
Registered Nurse II: Bachelor’s in Nursing and possession of a valid permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or Registered Nurse License recognized by the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC) OR Associate in Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience OR Associate in Nursing and two years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
Registered Nurse III: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and possession of a valid, permanent Oklahoma license as a registered nurse as approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing and one year of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and two years of professional nursing experience; or an Associate Degree in Nursing and three years of LPN experience in psychiatric nursing.
Unrestricted Oklahoma RN licensure.
