We have an opportunity for an energetic, motivated, and self-directed Environment, Health and Safety (EH&S) Manager to support our ongoing compliance and risk reduction efforts at the Camden, AR site.  This site offers the EH&S professionals an opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to foster employee engagement and drive risk reduction and continuous improvement of the EH&S program. 

What You Will Do 

• Recognize, evaluate, and control hazardous workplace conditions.
• Take proactive steps to ensure the safety and health of site employees and influence safe behaviors.
• Execute initiatives, programs, reports, and training across multiple EH&S disciplines, as required to achieve and maintain compliance.
• Prepare and manage documentation relating to safety and environmental policies in preparation for audits
• Provides proper documentation in preparation for permits and liaising with governmental bodies
• Maintains EH&S Management System Conformance
• Achieves and maintains consistency of EH&S record keeping and documentation with organizational and regulatory policy
• Audit and evaluate current policies, procedures, and documentation to assure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Investigate, analyze, and interpret data from injuries and near-misses ensuring corrective actions are completed on time, and all necessary documentation is in place.
• Interact with employees of all levels, promote relationships, learn the tasks employees perform and be known as a resource to the employees at the site. Work toward building partnerships and influencing across assigned areas to provide actionable improvement programs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of EH&S strategic initiatives that drive continuous improvement.
• Support the site’s environmental and safety compliance programs.
• Develop and implement sustainability practices and programs related to waste, water, and greenhouse gases in alignment with our long-term goals.
• Identify environmental risk and complete due diligence; investigate root cause for environmental incidents.

Qualifications You Must Have 

• Experience with identification and mitigation of EH&S hazards.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. 
• Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations 5 years prior relevant experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Knowledge and the application of the principals of regulatory requirements.
• Project management and execution skills
• Previous experience working at an OSHA VPP (Voluntary Protection Program) site.
• Professional Certification in the EHS field (ASP, CSP, CIH, etc.).
• General knowledge of 4145.26 DOD Explosives Operations.
• Strong computer skills, particularly Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• An ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills.
• Ability to provide clear, concise, and effective verbal communications.
