Job Description

NBCUniversal’s Enterprise Product Team builds products that provide essential capabilities to organizations throughout NBCUniversal. In this role, you will support the Ad Sales business’s One Platform strategy, which is a multi-year vision to reimagine how publishers and advertisers transact with each other. We are looking for an experienced Technical Product Manager to help drive key initiatives in the Unified Traffic space related to scheduling and planning.

As part of the Unified Traffic product team, you will be responsible for delivering a reimaged TV Traffic Log focusing on workflow automation through system integrations and business process changes. You will lead requirements gathering and definition, ensure a healthy backlog, and drive forward overall execution across engineering, product, and strategy teams.

Requirements:

  • Define and own overall product vision, strategy, and success metrics for key initiatives in the Unified Traffic space.
  • Partner with stakeholders and dependent engineering teams to define a roadmap, ensuring appropriate prioritization and alignment against company objectives.
  • Be a strategic partner to business leads, explaining technical tradeoffs to maximize immediate value to the business.
  • Write comprehensive user stories in JIRA, capturing business context and detailed acceptance criteria.
  • Collaborate with your engineering team to ensure the technical solutions adhere to company standards.
  • Own and facilitate recurring team meetings like Standup, IPM, Tech IPM, and Retrospectives.
  • Present operational updates to executive leadership, keeping both tactical and strategic themes in mind.
  • Manage the entire end-to-end SDLC, ensuring efficient processes and an ability to deliver on commitments.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in a product management or technical product management role.
  • Bachelor’s degree, CS preferred.
  • Experience delivering quality software or technical solutions, leveraging agile principles and methodologies.
  • Proven ability to set a vision, excite and lead a cross-functional product development team.
  • Strong technical abilities to hold your own in debates with architects and engineers.
  • Experience in the media marketplace or within an Ad Tech organization.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to take the seed of an idea through to launch.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience within an Ad Sales Technology organization, with a focus on planning and trafficking.
  • Familiarity integrating systems and sequencing work across dependent roadmaps.
  • Ability to lead and work autonomously.
  • Experience working in a remote setting with distributed teams.
  • Ability to handle multiple competing priorities within a fast-paced environment.
  • Broad technical breadth and depth, including familiarity with API design, systems integration, CI/CD, release planning, and cloud infrastructure.
