Job Description
The Director, AAD HCP Lead is responsible for overall HCP strategic direction and tactical execution of a major asset expecting FDA approval in 12-14 months. This person will be responsible for driving for the brand and will be instrumental in developing and setting the brand/promotional plan, sales direction as well as HCP campaign/visual aid. This position will require someone who can lead the HCP strategy and team pre- and post-launch periods. This person will lead workstreams, partner effectively with cross-functional teams and the alliance partner. Reporting to Indication Senior Director, AAD Launch Lead, s/he is expected to communicate regularly with senior management regarding launch readiness, brand performance and strategic direction and to be able to have strong strategic agility to adjust plans as needed based on market response and results.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the HCP Team to develop overall HCP strategic direction; proactively identify relevant brand, customer, and competitive insights and ensure they are appropriately integrated into brand plans
Lead the development of field force strategy and directions, core Visual Aid, field materials, non-personal promotion, disease education for HCPs; prioritize execution and promotion mix to drive the maximum value
Drive integration of Omnichannel for HCPs across functions for disease education launch as well as the product launch in 2023. Collaborate with caregiver team to integrate Omnichannel across HCPs and caregivers where appropriate.
Collaborate, align, and coordinate with sales leadership/field sales to provide a clear strategic direction to the field; develop and ensure selling materials are effective
Lead other functional teams and strategic partners (e.g. agencies, alliance organizations) to ensure cooperation, shared responsibility in commercialization activities, and ultimately business performance
Translates business strategy into tactical plans with measures and targets and controls execution
Work in close collaboration with business analytics and market research to track brand performance of key drivers; interact regularly with sales, sales training, medical, legal, regulatory and multiple external agency partners to ensure flawless execution of core strategies and tactics
Manage, direct, and mentor one direct report
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor’s degree; MBA or other relevant graduate or post-graduate degree
10 - 12+ years in marketing and/or selling pharmaceutical products
Brand marketing experience, including identifying market and customer needs, building strategic and tactical plans and brand promotions
Demonstrated ability to lead matrix teams and deliver strong results
Sense of urgency and adept at balancing short- and long-term priorities and manage multiple priorities effectively
Strong strategic skill sets including effectiveness in identifying and addressing major strategic challenges (e.g., competition) and the ability to navigate complex market environments
Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously
Consistently drives measurable business outcomes
Ability to influence internal and external stakeholders
Ability to understand and balance/influence cross-functional priorities, plans and objectives
Knowledge of medial/compliance/legal review processes
Alliance partnership experience
Previous experience managing direct reports
Contributes to the development of direct reports/or others interested in marketing
Up to 25% travel is required*, based upon business needs.

Preferred:

Prior experience with successfully launching a brand (s) and/or an indication (s)
US HCP/Other Marketing experience
Experience/knowledge of Neurology/CNS Space
