About the role

Who we are looking for

The Global Credit Finance Client Coordinator will support senior executives across Global Credit Finance (GCF) Division, including the organizations’ EVP, two SVPs and senior client-facing GCF VPs and MDs. The candidate will report directly to a client-facing VP within the private equity finance team but will work closely with the above executives as well as the GCF CAO.  This role provides a unique opportunity to help drive client-targeting strategy and revenue outcomes, and optimize executive engagement with clients across the bank.  A dynamic individual with excellent communication and organizational skills will help us strategically invest STT balance sheet in the best opportunities to retain and attract profitable client business.

Why this role is important to us

The division you will be joining, GCF, plays an important role in the overall success of the organization, generating some of the highest margins and return-on-capital within STT via its lending products. Executives within GCF are constantly meeting with some of the firm’s biggest institutional private equity and asset manager clients, and often at very senior levels, such as the CFO.  Maintaining the appropriate reporting on client interactions, and engagement, prepping appropriately for meetings, understanding our clients’ complex organizational structures, following-up, and driving and tracking cross-sell opportunities between GCF and other divisions across the bank are critical to our success.  Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us for financing, and to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and ultimately drive performance and profitability. To make that happen we need a client coordinator to help us provide first rate customer service to our clients externally and manage the collaboration needed internally to achieve successful outcomes.   You will help us build resilience and execute day-to-day deliverables at our best. Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.

What you will be responsible for

As Global Credit Finance Client Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Client Targeting & Analysis. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of GCF’s 200+ clients with an eye on the top 25 clients, and overlay that with the strategic targets of SSGA, Alpha, GM, and other business lines within the company.   Serve as a knowledge source for GCF and STT executives across the firm, regarding client tiering and other relevant targeting metrics. Participate in monthly cross-sell discussions with other divisions.
  • Prioritization of Client Engagement. Evaluate and prioritize requests for executive engagement with clients–primarily for our division EVP, two SVPs and senior MDs within GCF–to optimize executive’s time and prioritize client relationships with most appropriate targets.   Help plan and organize key conference meetings, extended trips, and events that occur in the US and Europe throughout the year.
  • Meeting Preparation, Participation and Follow-up. Work with sales and client relationship managers, create and distribute relevant meeting prep and briefing materials for executive’s client meetings. Potentially learn from GCF executives via active client meeting participation.  Ensure that follow-ups are documented, tracked and executed upon.
  • Data Management. Maintain, organize and streamline data related to executive engagement with clients, including tracking relevant, non-financial metrics using Salesforce, as well as other relevant CRM and data management tools.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting. Create and implement a formal tracking process for executive engagement with clients, reporting out regularly including producing quarterly and annual reports regarding client engagement and related objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Assisting with ad hoc projects for GCF senior management.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS required
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize large data sets to the most salient, actionable points to achieve targeting goals
