Medical Assistant/Patient Support Associate (MA/PSA) - Orthopedics - Lincolnshire

Position Highlights:

• Position: Medical Assistant / Patient Support Associate
• Location: Lincolnshire, IL
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
• Hours: M-F: hours between 8am-7 pm. 1-2 Weekends every quarter
• Travel: Travel required for role: Floating between the locations of Lincolnshire, IL and Glenview, IL.

What you will need:
 

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred, but not required.
• Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred, but not required.
• Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred.  On the job training is provided for those who do not have previous medical assistant training or experience. 
   

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patient
• Verify insurances
• Greet patients and escort them to exam room
• Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
• Provide front office support as needed
• Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
• Phlebotomy and injections may be required
