What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the all-electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Design, build, implement, and scale an internal investigations program focused on mitigating risk and fostering employee trust
- Establish foundational relationships with key stakeholders in Legal, People, IT, Security, Ethics & Compliance, EH&S, and other business leaders
- Launch a case management application integrated with the Ethics Hotline, our HRIS and Security systems
- Align internal investigative processes and procedures with company policies, procedures, controls, and systems, and, in alignment with corporate standards
- Initially work as a sole subject matter expert, and later build, lead, and develop a high-performing team in conjunction with the growth of Scout Motors
- Ensure incidents are promptly investigated, documented, and dispositioned
- Ensure the Company’s and its employees’ and representatives’ compliance with all applicable federal, state, local and international laws and regulations
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, and work cross-functionally to implement effective solutions to address them
- Stay informed about changes in employment law, criminal statutes, regulations, and work with stakeholders to adjust policies and practices, as necessary
- Establish Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators that can be utilized to identify areas of opportunity to reduce risk to the organization
- Interpret program metrics to provide insights and aid decision-making related to policy and training
- Prepare and present reports and analysis to senior management and external auditors regarding the investigation function and ongoing/closed investigations
Location & Travel Expectations: The responsibilities of this role require attendance at in-person meetings and events occasionally. We will consider remote applicants for this role. Applicants should expect that the role may require the ability to convene with Scout Motors colleagues in person and be able to travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time,
What you’ll bring

- 15+ years investigative experience with demonstrated experience implementing, leading, and scaling cross-functional investigative programs in a corporate environment
- Advanced degree and certifications commensurate with the role (e.g. MBA, Certified Fraud Examiner)
- A strong understanding of investigations standards and best practices
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and embody integrity and ethical behavior that is beyond reproach
- Experience identifying and responding to insider threats
- Expert experience identifying, collecting, and preserving digital and physical evidence
- Proven experience leading, coaching, and developing employees for success
- Comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local criminal/employment laws
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to predict and preempt negative outcomes
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex scenarios and outcomes t
