We are seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to play a key role in advancing our supply chain strategy and achieving critical operational goals. In this role, you will work independently with minimal supervision, driving improvements to procurement processes and supply chain systems. You'll collaborate across functions to ensure alignment with organizational policies and procedures, and will serve as a knowledgeable resource for guiding teams on best practices that support supply chain excellence.

What You Will Do

  • Provide subject matter expertise across multiple supply chain disciplines, supporting process execution and successful implementation of procurement strategies.

  • Coordinate procurement and timely delivery of materials and services by collaborating closely with internal stakeholders across engineering, operations, and planning teams.

  • Support sourcing initiatives by researching new suppliers, markets, and pricing trends; provide insights based on operational challenges and day-to-day procurement experience.

  • Resolve general inquiries from internal and external stakeholders with a customer-focused and solution-oriented mindset.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable import, export, and excise regulations, maintaining the highest standards of regulatory adherence.

  • Manage key responsibilities across multiple supply chain functions, especially in smaller or matrixed locations where cross-functional collaboration is critical.

  • Execute procurement and supply chain activities that span multiple disciplines and do not fall into a single defined category.

  • Develop procurement execution strategies leveraging the established supply base—identify optimal materials and services from preferred suppliers to meet business unit needs for performance and cost efficiency.

  • Continuously seek opportunities to improve supply chain performance through data analysis, process enhancements, and alignment with broader operations strategies.

  • Foster strong supplier relationships to drive both objective (on-time delivery, quality) and subjective (communication, responsiveness) performance to the highest levels.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define and deliver impactful supply chain projects that improve supply assurance, quality, and cost.

  • Demonstrate strong business and financial acumen—build, support, and present business cases that effectively communicate value to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment, with a solid understanding of production and supply chain dynamics.

  • Experience building and maintaining strong supplier relationships that support long-term business goals.

  • Demonstrated experience as an effective and strategic negotiator.

  • Project management experience, with the ability to lead and support cross-functional initiatives.

  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies

  • Working knowledge of contract creation, review, and execution.

  • Proficiency in SAP or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
