Are you a strategic project leader ready to drive impactful electrical initiatives from concept to completion? As a Sr Project Manager on our CORE Electrical team, you will be responsible for every phase of small- to mid-scale projects—including development, engineering, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout. In this key role, you’ll guide a dedicated team of technical professionals while delivering critical project insights that empower leadership to make informed decisions. What you will do:

  • Accountable for project’s performance (scope, safety, quality, schedule, risk and cost) and collaborator/end-user/client satisfaction by:
  • Ensuring organizational objectives are translated into the department’s activities in collaboration with internal partners (e.g. environment, safety, quality, land, legal, supply chain, etc.)
  • Providing technical and business advice on the preparation and disposition of documents required for project completion
  • Ensuring that project scope definitions align with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements through effective management and coordination of internal functional groups
  • Effectively managing project change and risk and providing regular updates to management and interested parties
  • Facilitating communication between engineering consultants, construction contractors, vendors and appropriate internal partners to ensure technical issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Monitoring and controlling project activities ensuring project objectives are met within financial and schedule constraints
  • Providing front end project development support to Development Engineering
  • Providing direction in the tender, analysis, award and administration of engineering and construction contracts
  • Providing project field support during construction and commissioning activities
  • Implementing consistent, detailed and timely management of project records and closeout procedures

Who you are:

You have:

  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience that includes a minimum of 5 years project experience along with an Engineering degree or a related subject area such as Project Management, Pipelines, Construction

You can:

  • Show your excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact effectively with project team members, peers, management and all project collaborators
  • Show a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record that will be verified upon hire

You are:

  • Able to identify issues, propose solutions, make timely decisions, manage change and escalate accordingly while exhibiting strong interpersonal skills, great planning/organization/negotiation and leadership skills
  • Proficient in the technical and working knowledge of internal and industry pipeline and facility design, construction codes and standards

The following are considered assets:

  • In depth knowledge of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification with PMI
