The Account Manager is responsible for developing and managing customer accounts, cultivating strong relationships, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies. The primary purpose of this role will be sales, prospecting clients and building relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in logistics account management, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for sales and exceeding customer expectations.
This position is a 7 on 7 off schedule. If you are someone who is hungry to learn a new industry that has a lot of growth potential - and only work half the year, this may be the right fit for you! This position has a rotating schedule of 7 days on, 7 days off, giving you the opportunity to work 26 out of 52 weeks in a year!
Essential Job Functions:
- Responsible for high customer interactions, including prospecting, cold calling, closing deals, and daily account management.
- Negotiate transactional rates with prospects and closed customers to win opportunities to grow our market share.
- Generate and qualify leads daily to determine compatibility with our services.
- Maintain accurate tracking and history of all shipments.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of logistics services and timely resolution of any issues.
- Analyze customer needs and develop customized solutions to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance.
- Manage customer expectations by employing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and other account metrics.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.

- Previous experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management operations is highly desirable.

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Sales, negotiation, or communication experience preferred.
