ABOUT THE ROLE

As the After School and Summer Camp Coordinator, you will plan and implement after school enrichment classes, before and afterschool programs, and coordinate the summer camp. The After School and Summer Camp Coordinator also helps attract prospective families through the summer camp, and nurtures the community of enrolled families in our before-care and after school programs.

• You are an outstanding communicator: You have excellent written and verbal skills in English. You have the ability to interact with people on all levels (customers, vendors, counselors, colleagues, etc.)
• You are passionate about education: You are excited to provide quality hands-on, inquiry-based projects, enrichment and recreation experiences for children from PK to Grade 5.
• You have amazing organizational skills: You have a talent for handling multiple tasks at the same time with frequent interruptions.
• You love technology: You are savvy with computers, word processing, Gmail, Google Drive, databases and more.  You are quick to learn software programs.
• You thrive in a collaborative work environment: You love being part of a team, you are flexible and adaptable and willing to help others as needed.
• You are all about safety: You understand health and safety protocols and put student’s safety first.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the After School and Summer Camp Coordinator you will get to:

• Develop, implement, coordinate and supervise exciting, after-school and summer camp programming
• Maintain frequent communication with teachers and parents and provide on-site support for staff
• Track attendance, feedback, retention and inquiry records
• Collaborate with marketing and admissions staff to publicize program offerings
• Maintain strict health and safety protocols
• Order and purchase materials related to all enrichment/summer camp activities/initiatives
• Implement feedback mechanisms for staff, parents and students regarding curriculum and instruction
• Provide on-site supervision of teachers and students
• Provide frequent communication to families leading up to the start of programming and throughout outlining registration details, any changes to programming, updates, newsletters, etc.  
• Use registration and student management systems (i.e. Veracross and Magnus)
• Communicate regularly with the Head of School, Academic Coordinators, and the Operations Coordinator
• Maintains records of all participants and activities including attendance, feedback, retention, interest in or action related to admissions
• Generate new leads and secure new families
• Support marketing endeavors and providing content when needed 
• Collaborate with marketing staff to ensure that enrichment/summer camp/partnership programs are well-publicized well in advance.
