Responsibilities
The Senior Financial Analyst will have a Focus on both short and long-term financial planning and analysis to evaluate and forecast business performance. Key responsibilities include:
- Works closely with the CFO, Leadership team, underwriting and sales staff to enable our Insurance with Ease vision.
- Execution of the department’s strategies and key initiatives through special projects
- Utilizing data-driven insights to uncover behavioral patterns within agency operations and enhance performance across key metrics.
- Collaboration throughout the organization to provide overall efficiencies within BMP
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to deadlines around the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process.
- Performing detailed analysis of internal financial data, including profit and loss statements, financial reports, revenues, direct expenses, and commissions.
- Conduct analysis of key business drivers, trends and performance indicators to provide value-added inputs.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models and dashboards to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Partner with business units to provide financial guidance and support for operational and strategic decisions.
- Evaluating external and internal intel to provide actionable insight into the current market landscape.
- Maintain Power BI reports for accuracy, quality and relevance
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or pursuing a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in finance or accounting, or comparable advanced professional education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business functions.
- Skilled in interpreting data trends and delivering actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Highly organized and adept at managing time effectively in dynamic environments with shifting priorities.
- Demonstrates initiative and curiosity, with a commitment to thorough research and problem-solving.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) and financial reporting systems such as Essbase, Hyperion, Vena.
