The Internal Communications Specialist (clinical) will develop and execute communications for Atlantic Health team members, balancing a focus on practitioners and clinical team members with technology topics. This specialist, reporting to the Senior Manager, ISS Communications, is a trusted member of the Enterprise Communications team and provides communication support to ISS and clinician leadership, ensuring that key Atlantic Health initiatives are meaningfully communicated to our practitioners and clinical team members across Atlantic Health. Responsibilities
The successful individual will leverage their proficiency in communications to collaborate on a variety of internal communications projects, with the following accountabilities:
- Ensure that clinical and technology initiatives are meaningfully communicated to the entire workforce and medical staff.
- Develop and execute internal communication plans/cascades.
- Understand the technical components and dependencies of each technology initiative to ensure that changes are implemented and communicated in a meaningful and accurate manner.
- Author easy-to-consume communication materials using a variety of mediums (written, infographic, presentation).
- Execute the implementation of high-impact optimizations, regulatory changes and other clinically-focused initiatives.
- Ensure all initiatives are properly scoped, tested, and communicated to the target audience (primarily, but not limited to practitioners and clinical team members).
- Triage issues reported by clinical and IT leadership.
This accomplished individual will:
- Have a minimum of (3) years of work experience developing and implementing effective communication plans and strategies, working with senior leaders. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of developing and delivering multi-channel communications.
- Exude a strong professional presence, with a proven track record of working with all levels of team members, from the front line to the C-suite.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. This individual is a fast learner, enjoys problem-solving, and can collaborate across teams.
- Be nimble, agile and willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done.
- Possess the ability to work confidently on multiple projects under tight deadlines while paying close attention to detail and quality.
- Have a passion for communications, creative storytelling and brand awareness.
- Have a keen understanding of current communications landscape. Tech and social media savvy in exploring different media/modes of communication to achieve communication objectives.
