7PM-7AM Production Supervisor - VA

Description

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for planning, organizing and controlling production personnel and processes within their assigned shift to ensure that finished products are produced efficiently, on time and to customer standards.  

Requirements

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement and control the production schedule
• Review and adjust schedules as needed
• Manage human and material resources to meet production targets
• Make decisions about equipment use and maintenance
• Implement standard operating procedures for production operations
• Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
• Monitor quality standards
• Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives
• Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems
• Determine and implement improvements to the production process
• Prepare and maintain production reports
• Monitor and review performance of staff, organize necessary interventions for improvement
• Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments including procurement, distribution and management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or its equivalent required. 
• 2-year technical degree, 4-year college degree preferred
• 4-5 years of manufacturing experience
• 2-4 years proven supervisor or management experience preferred  

 PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Standing, stooping and bending to inspect products and equipment within the production facility and to inspect quality details
• Some heavy lifting and considerable moving of equipment required
• Lifting of objects up to 50 

MENTAL

• Able to perform the necessary mathematical computations to setup jobs for production. 
• Able to plan work schedules to meet deadlines. 
• Able to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of employees and management. 

WORKING CONDITIONS

Primarily in a production plant environment. Exposure to hot, dirty, noisy and congested conditions. 

DISCLOSURE STATEMENT

This role is eligible for an annual bonus. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements. Actual base salary pay will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
