What role you will play in our team
Imperial is looking for ambitious and highly motivated business students to join our Procurement Services Department (PSD). You will be working in a fast-paced team environment and have the opportunity to grow in negotiation, contracting, supply chain, and payment of materials and services.
What you will do
- Providing client advice and guidance related to acquisition processes
- Provide support in day to day materials Supply Chain operations across the Imperial network
- Negotiating pricing and terms with vendors
- Supporting PtP (Procure-to-Pay) activities which may include requisitioning, inventory optimization, invoicing, invoice troubleshooting, supplier performance, expediting material deliveries etc.
- Conducting agreement reviews to determine alignment with controls
- Providing data analytics to support contract or supply chain administration activities
- Perform business analytic function in support of stewardship reporting
Student terms will also include a variety of short-term projects with specific deliverables for completion by the end of your work term.

About you
Skills and Qualifications
- Candidate pursuing a university Business degree, Supply Chain Management degree, or Master program planning on returning to school after their work term
Preferred Qualifications/ Experience
- Supply chain/ procurement experience is preferred
- A desire to learn and create value
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interface with suppliers and business clients
- Team player with business acumen and effective time management abilities
- Problem solving and analytical skills
