Incumbents normally perform job duties under close supervision. In some activities, especially as proficiency is developed, work may be performed independently, without immediate supervision. Positions in this nonprofessional class work perform simple engineering-related support tasks, including researching, managing data, compiling data for reports, completing inspections, and providing engineering information to the public.
