What We Offer

The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The starting salary range for this position is $75,500 - $96,100. We also offer generous benefits for full-time employees which include but are not limited to:

Location

The City and County of Denver supports a hybrid workplace model. Employees work where needed, at a job site several days a week and off-site as needed. This position may require availability outside of standard business hours. Employees must work within the state of Colorado on their off-site days.

What You’ll Do

The Denver Human Services Contract Administration Team is looking for a Contract Administrator Senior. This position will report to the Senior Fiscal Administrator. This role requires an experienced contract administration professional who is highly skilled in public contract administration and can demonstrate other qualities, including: collaborative team player, excellent interpersonal and technical skills in contract management, creative thinking and problem solving. A Contract Administrator Senior is expected to perform lead work as well as contract administrator functions for contracts pertaining to Human Services operations.

Additionally, this position manages grants and revenue agreements, builds relationships with the State, coordinates with the Department of Human Services (DHS) Grants Management Team (GMT), and enhances contract administration processes through training, data management, and system improvements. This position will also manage report development across the team to be used for planning with programs, and support Financial Services leadership with reporting and transparency to other stakeholders on contract development, contract portfolios, and contract utilization across the department.

  • Grants and Revenue Agreement Management:

    • Oversee the administration of grants and revenue agreements.

    • Serve as the primary liaison with the State to bridge differences between State and organizational processes.

    • Ensure compliance with grant and revenue agreement requirements.

  • Relationship Building:

    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with State agencies and other external stakeholders.

    • Facilitate communication and coordination between the organization and the State to ensure smooth contract processes.

  • Coordination and Tracking:

    • Act as the primary coordinator with the DHS Grants Management Team (GMT).

    • Manage and track Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) agreements outside the Jaggaer system.

    • Ensure accurate and timely tracking of agreements and associated documentation.

  • Data Management and Reporting:

    • Manage data and run reports across caseloads and systems using Salesforce and other relevant systems.

    • Assist with Salesforce improvement projects to enhance data management, reporting, and planning activities.

    • Develop and implement standard procedures for data tracking and reporting.

  • Training and Support:

    • Train the Contract Administration Team (CAT) on Salesforce use and document management.

    • Support the execution of contracts and potentially new contract monitoring duties for CAs (to be determined).

    • Provide guidance and support to CAs on
