Job Summary

The Associate Director of HSIT, Salesforce & Integrations is a multi-faceted leadership position that encompasses all aspects of managing the Salesforce ecosystem and its integration strategies across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of Salesforce functionalities, and experience with integration tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze system performance and implement improvements to enhance speed and efficiency while ensuring that integrations are scalable, reliable, and maintainable

  • Manage DevOps for the school to seamlessly handle new implementations between Salesforce orgs

  • Develop and execute test plans for integration solutions, ensuring that they meet functional, performance, and security requirements

  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using Apex, Visualforce, custom Lightning components, and other Salesforce-compatible technologies

  • Develop and implement data management strategies, policies, and best practices to ensure data consistency, data quality, and compliance

  • Oversee data integration efforts between Salesforce and other systems, ensuring seamless data flow, synchronization, and consistency

  • Deciding key points of third-party integrations while considering the “what if” scenarios that could conflict with existing data syncs

  • Make implementation decisions while considering future implications of existing system architecture.

  • Stay current with Salesforce updates, data management best practices, and industry trends to inform strategy and execution

  • Identify opportunities for process automation and enhancement to streamline data workflows

  • Plan, execute, and oversee management of various Salesforce projects, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget and scope

  • Work closely with stakeholders and users to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Salesforce professionals, including administrators, developers, and analysts

  • Manage user setup, roles, profiles, and permissions to ensure data integrity and security

  • Administers database utilities, monitors the relationships between the database users and applications

  • Provide training and support to Salesforce users, ensuring they are fully equipped to utilize the system effectively

  • Manage user documentation and training materials, including updates for new features and processes

  • Create complex reports and dashboards tailored to the needs of various departments and teams

  • Define and document governance policies, procedures, and standards, related to data management, security, and user access

  • Create and update detailed documentation for Salesforce processes, including workflows, integrations, customizations, and user roles

  • Conduct regular reviews of governance practices to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations

  • Research and analyze new technologies relevant to Salesforce, including AI, machine learning, and automation tools

  • Uses best practices and database knowledge to determine the impact of making database changes on other systems and the staff cost for making such changes. Solves complex database problems and modifies database programs to increase processing performance

  • Codes database descriptions and specifies identifiers of database management systems. Tests for consistency and reliability of data throughout database systems. Manages server installations, security, performance monitoring, and maintenance

  • Designs and monitors database administration procedures including backup and recovery.
