Location: Ada, MI (Hybrid)

*You must be able to report to the Ada, MI headquarters at least 3 days per week.

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

We're seeking a curious and motivated Analyst to join our growing R&D team. In this role, you'll be instrumental in helping teams across R&D leverage their data to solve critical business problems. You will work on 2-3 projects at the same time, ranging from independent tasks focused on data analysis and visualization to larger collaborative projects offering opportunities to expand your skills in data science and software development.

 

This role is perfect for someone eager to learn from a highly experienced team and contribute to impactful projects. You'll be involved in process improvement initiatives, automating manual processes, and deriving insights from data through calculation, analysis, and visualization. You'll utilize a project management tool to track your work and collaborate with teams across R&D. While experience with AI is a plus, we welcome individuals eager to explore and learn in this exciting field.

 

There will not be a lot of travel in this role, and you will be expected to be on-site at our Ada, MI campus on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for our Campus-wide collaboration days.  

 

Required qualifications:

• BS or BA in Physics, Biology, Engineering, or other STEM related field
• At least 1 year of experience working to creatively solve problems using data
• The following experience would be helpful, but not required:
  • Experience coding using Python
  • Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
  • Familiarity with Large Language Models

What’s special about this team:

 

The Data Analytics team in the New Ventures part of our R&D division supports all of the analytics activities across the division. Our primary goal is do anything we can to make other I&S employees’ lives easier by providing task automation and efficiency-creating tools. We spend a lot of time improving processes and systems. As an example, the team put together a chatbot for our PLM system to answer common PLM questions. This is a team of 4 located in Ada, MI and Buena Park, CA.
