Designing and delivering added value energy solutions is what we do.If you share our determination to drive the transition to a low-carbon future, then this could be the job for you. We are currently seeking a <strong>Electrical Engineer Senior</strong>, directly reporting to Electrical section head to join our Electrical Engineering division team based in Rome, Italy.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About the Job</strong></p> <p>You will work inside the Electrical Section, that is responsible for designing electrical systems of medium, large and complex projects.</p> <p>The role of the Senior Electrical Engineer within the Electrical section implies developing the assigned tasks independently, with a minimum guidance from the other Seniors in the discipline only for specific topics; work is periodically reviewed by the Lead Electrical Engineer, to verify the accomplishment of objectives. </p> <p> </p> <p>The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to: </p> <ul> <li>Preparation of project technical specifications in line with Project/Client requirements;</li> <li>Meet Project quality and HSE objectives;</li> <li>Ensure an appropriate reporting on engineering/requisitioning activities to the Lead Electrical Engineer;</li> <li>Interface with other discipline engineers and Project support functions such as Procurement, Construction and Planning. </li> <li>Supervise and coordinate the activity of a small group of drafters, junior/intermediate designers and/or junior/intermediate engineers.</li> <li>Preparation and/or check of Single Line Diagrams, Schematics and Wiring diagrams, Area Classification drawings, Grounding System layouts, Panel/Cable schedules, Equipment layouts, Cable layouts, Lighting system layouts and Electrical installation details </li> <li>Perform power system studies (short circuit, load flow, motor starting, arc flash, harmonic analysis) using ETAP or equivalent software.</li> <li>Perform calculations for main electrical equipment sizing, UPS sizing, Cables sizing, Lighting system, Grounding system and Heat tracing system.</li> <li>Prepare Electrical Equipment Material Requisitions and Data sheets </li> <li>Review Vendor Bids and prepare Technical Bids Evaluation.</li> <li>Ensure proper communication with Vendors and technical follow up of the orders</li> <li>Review Vendor Drawings.</li> </ul> <p>You will have the opportunity to do business trips to attend to technical meetings with Clients or Suppliers, visit Vendor workshops, move to other Technip Energies operating centers and join our colleagues overseas. Occasionally you will also have the opportunity to follow up engineering activities related to the Electrical discipline directly on our sites, supporting erection, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.</p> <p>We offer you not only a job, but an inspiring journey in a truly global environment where you team up to break down boundaries thanks to the innovation, creativity and pioneer spirit which drive our people.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <p>We’d pleasure to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:</p> <p>Qualifications: Master degree in Electrical Engineering</p> <p>Languages: English fluent</p> <p>Main Skills: </p> <ul> <li>Previous experience of at least 3-6 years in detailed engineering and design of electrical systems for Refinery / Gas / Power / Renewables / Infrastructure projects in similar position</li> <li>Fully familiar with international codes and standards like IEC, ANSI, IEEE, NEC, NEMA, CSA, UL, API, etc</li> <li>Excellent oral/written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal effectively with the design team in the resolution of project related issues, in an international and multi-cultural environment</li> <li>High interest with respect to the current Energy transition challenges and Digital transformation process</li> <li>Availability to international mobility for either short or long term assignment </li> <li>Knowledge of new energy sources, renewables, green/blue hydrogen technologies will be highly appreciated </li> <li>Advanced knowledge of Excel/VBA/Query and Database management is a plus</li> <li>Self-motivated, results oriented and flexible to work well under tight schedules in a fast paced multi-disciplinary team environment</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>What’s next?</strong></p> <p><strong>Forecast Starting Date: during year 2024</strong></p> <p> </p> <p>Once receiving your application, a recruiter performs an initial check and a review is further carried by hiring manager.
