CLASSROOM AIDE

Locations Currently Hiring:

Triskett Station Childcare Center has a part-time position available working in the toddler room Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9am until 5:30pm.

Market Square Childcare Center has a part-time position working 7:30am until 11:30am Monday through Friday. It also has the option to be full-time 7:45am until 4:45pm, Monday through Friday, if you are looking for more hours. We are looking for this person to quickly climb the career ladder and be promoted to an assistant teacher for the classroom.

Wage Information: Full-time or Part-time hourly position. Pay rate of $13.25 per hour.

Reports to: Center Director

Job Description: 

• Responsible for the care and supervision of children in the classroom 

• Work as part of a team with other teachers, leads, center staff and the director 

• Provide functional classroom support 

• Follow and assist with classroom lesson/activity plans 

• Assist in documentation for services provided, progress reports, and attendance 

• Build positive relationships with children and families 

• Maintain adult/child ratios for multiple age groups (Toddler, Preschool, School Age) 

• It is possible that driving might be a requirement of this job. If applicable, may drive either a 14-passenger mini school bus and/or a 6-passenger minivan. (No CDL required) To drive: MUST be 21 and over, hold a current driver’s license and have a clean driving record to drive Horizon Vehicles  

• Responsible for the care and supervision of children if transporting 

• All other duties as needed/assigned 

Qualifications: 

• High School Diploma or Equivalent 

• Some training, experience, and/or interest in child development preferred 

• Willingness to update job knowledge with required training, DCY licensing rules and SUTQ professional development opportunities, and industry trends 

• We seek someone who is prompt and reliable and who possesses a genuine love of children 

• Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 40 lbs. as required 

• Must be able to pass background checks and physical/ medical screening as required
