Position Description:
 

The Outpatient Lab Collection Site Coordinator is an experienced phlebotomist who coordinates daily operations of the outpatient collection center while providing direct patient care and clerical support. This role serves as a functional lead for phlebotomy and clerical workflows, supports staff in real time, and ensures high standards of quality, safety, and patient experience.

The Coordinator reports to the Section Head Supervisor overseeing phlebotomy and clerical staff and is cross trained in Patient Access Representative functions to ensure continuity of service. The position requires proficiency in EPIC and the laboratory information system (LIS) and promotes collaboration across laboratory, registration, and clinical teams.

Qualifications:
1. High school diploma or equivalent required.
2. Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program preferred.
3. Minimum 2–3 years of phlebotomy experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
4. Familiarity with laboratory information systems and outpatient workflows preferred.
5. Requires the ability to operate a vehicle as a job-related function; candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record acceptable under company and insurance guidelines.
