This job manages and coordinates the daily operations in collaboration with Service Line Leadership, the OR and Medical Director. Plans and organizes all clinical functions including staffing and staff development, and budgeting. Coordinates implementation of disease management/wellness systems under the direction of the physicians.

Education

Required - Bachelor’s degree in Nursing,

Work Experience
Required -  None

Preferred - Experience supervising CRNAs

Certifications

Required - Current Louisiana Registered Nurse License, Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License,
Board Certified by the NBCRNA (National Board on certification and recertification of nurse anesthetists)
Fully licensed and credentialed as outlined by the Medical Staff Office of Ochsner Health System
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification

Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs)

• Must have computer skills and dexterity required for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to present information clearly and professionally.
• Must be proficient with Windows-style applications, various software packages specific to role and keyboard.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to and experience with working independently, setting priorities and maintaining complete confidentiality.
• Ability to utilize EOR (electronic medical records) to process information, answer questions and problem solve in an effective and timely manner.
• Understanding of financial statements to manage within a budget, analyze trends and make recommendations.
• Excellent judgment, decision-making, delegating skills.

Job Duties

• Ensures quality of care & patient satisfaction.
• Develops personnel and workforce to ensure adequate staffing.
• Ensures operational profitability.
• Performs clinical duties of a CRNA.
• Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, including but not limited to: respect for privacy, method of introduction to the patient, adapting explanation of services or procedures to be performed, requesting permissions and communication style.
• Other related duties as required.
