We are seeking a motivated and talented VP, Project Administrator/Accounting – AR Manager to join our fast growing, acquisitive 2,000 + dynamic team to play a pivotal role in Verdantas’ financial leadership. Reporting to the CFO, this position will have exposure to our executive team in addition to others across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead with empathy, strong communication, and a people-focused approach to achieve successful results for the organization.
- Support and shape the company’s people-focused culture by promoting inclusivity, diversity, and collaboration by reinforcing positive workplace values and encouraging teamwork.
- Lead and manage a team of 40+ project administrators, accountants and billers as well as the cash receipts team.
- Assist with revenue recognition, financial reporting, analysis, and audit.
- Integrating acquired company’s staff and data to ensure smooth transition and assimilation.
- Managing Cash Applications and collections team.
- Providing direction and training of accounting personnel.
- Lead special projects – analytics across project administration and accounting functions.
Qualifications:
•Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting.•10 years in a professional services environment managing and/or directing a project accounting function within a professional service firm.
•Demonstrated hands-on experience with:
o Project administration accounting functions
o Cash management
o Financial review and analysis
o Managing, developing, and reviewing staff
•Proven ability to manage and develop staff in a hybrid/remote environment.
•Strong communication skills
•Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Power Pivot, and other analytical tools.
•Advanced knowledge of Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint/Elevia is a plus.
