Responsibilities

The NRO Communication's (COMM) Directorates', Hosting Services Group (HSG) plans, develops, delivers, sustains, and brokers Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and capabilities to meet evolving enterprise IT requirements.  The array of hosting solutions increases the reliability, resiliency, and flexibility of enterprise systems, while accelerating the deployment of new capabilities.  This SETA position supports HSG's Cloud hosting business needs by analyzing requirements and supporting solutions in support of critical mission systems. The responsibilities of this position include, but is not limited to:

• Providing trusted technical consulting support with cloud server technologies.
• Acting as a trusted technical advisor to HSG.
• Providing technical expertise to size, estimate and recommend techniques and technologies, and provide expert advice to meet the needs of mission systems related cloud computing architectures.
• Actively participate in operational readiness reviews.
• Communicating and coordinating needs and solutions with senior leaders, vendors, service provider's and mission programs.
• Supporting logistical and business needs as required.
• Accurately documenting and conveying cloud-related activities or tasks.

 

Qualifications

Required:

• Must possess and be able to maintain an active TS/SCI with Poly
• 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD
• Bachelor’s degree preferably in science or engineering
• 5-7 years of experience supporting cloud hosting solutions
• Experience with blade server technologies
• Knowledge NRO mission systems
• Knowledge of CIA cloud capabilities
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
