Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Cognos Architect to lead the architecture and design of our transactional reporting systems and advanced web dashboards across Equities and Fixed Income.

This role has global responsibility for designing reporting solutions across front-office trading platforms, middle-office booking, clearing, and regulatory reporting systems, as well as supporting functions such as Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and other data services.

The position sits within the Agency Execution division, where Technology teams focus on delivering electronic trading solutions across global Equities and Credit markets to buy-side and sell-side clients. Our current product suite includes a Block Crossing system, Algorithmic Trading platform, and subscription-based Analytics.

The primary responsibility of this role is to architect and design reporting solutions for some of our most complex, global initiatives. The successful candidate will own all aspects of architecture, execution, and delivery.

Role Responsibilities

• Senior Cognos application Designer for BI Cognos platforms

• Designs complex Data models in Cognos Framework Manager

• Engineers “Self Service “ Environment for sales Analytics.

• Designs and Develops state of the art Web dashboards

• Authors multidimensional cubes for slicing and dicing of data for our power users

• Primary developer of new reports using BI Cognos platforms

• Perform regular maintenance and unit testing of existing reports and dashboards 

• Liaison with DBA and other data services teams to enrich or metric data store

Experience / Competencies

Essential

• Expertise in designing and developing reports and dashboards using IBM Cognos BI tools

• Proficiency in creating complex data models using Cognos Framework Manager

• Strong experience in building multidimensional cubes to support advanced data slicing and analysis

• Ability to engineer self-service reporting environments for business users, particularly in sales analytics

• Skilled in maintaining, testing, and optimizing existing Cognos reports and dashboards

Desired

• Experience collaborating with DBA and data engineering teams to enhance data models and reporting infrastructure

• Familiarity with front-office and middle-office trading systems and data flows

• Background in delivering reporting solutions for financial services, particularly in Equities and Fixed Income

• Understanding of Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) and other related analytics

• Knowledge of modern web technologies or tools used in dashboard development (e.g., JavaScript, HTML5, or integration with other BI tools
