Licensed Veterinary Technician Per Diem

VCA Veterinary Emergency and Referral Center of Westbury is seeking an enthusiastic licensed veterinary technician to join our Per Diem / Relief team!

              Are you interested in obtaining your Veterinary Technician Specialty? We have the ability to support the most advanced cases with cutting-edge technology utilizing our CT, MRI, and hyperbaric oxygen chamber (HBOT).  We support full technician skill utilization and are dedicated to provide gold standard medicine and exceptional patient care.  Our outstanding medicine is supported by a VTS in (ECC), and a VTS in (SAIM) and we continue to support a hospital culture of growth and development for all levels of technician.

Licensed Veterinary Technician Duties:

• Anesthesia monitoring
• Full Technician Skill Utilization
• Collecting patient histories & thorough physical exams
• Venipuncture / IVC placement
• Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
• Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
• Providing compassionate care for all patients

Potential Schedule: Per Diem Basis.

Compensation: $25 - 33/ hour dependent on experience and skill set in an emergency room setting
