JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Penn State Motivation Lab in the Department of Kinesiology (www.hhd.psu.edu/kines) in University Park, PA is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative individual to join our team as a Human Research Technologist. The Motivation Lab develops and evaluates behavioral interventions, many of which use digital technologies such as mobile and wearable devices, to improve health and well-being (www.conroylab.com). This position will primarily support an ongoing clinical trial of a precision intervention using digital tools to promote physical activity and slow weight gain among insufficiently active young adults. The human research technologist will interact with the investigators, staff across the university, and participants.
Specific responsibilities may include:
Communicating with and scheduling research participants
Screening and enrolling eligible participants in trials
Leading data collection sessions via Zoom
Preparing and shipping devices and study materials to participants
Monitoring online dashboards for incoming study data
Other duties as assigned to support research goals

This is a 40-hour per week position (Monday-Friday). Evening/weekend hours may be required occasionally. Participant recruitment will be conducted nationally using social media and participant interactions will be via video meetings. The position is based at the University Park Campus; however, flexible work arrangements, such as hybrid work opportunities, may be considered.
This position is largely participant-facing. Applicants must be energized by working with people and comfortable working with digital technologies. Requires an Associate Degree or higher; Bachelor’s degree preferred, and one or more years of related experience, or an equivalent
