Job Description

As a valued colleague on our team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to your team on designing and coordinating internal and external communication strategies. In this role, you will maintain communications policies and procedures, as well as utilize various mediums, such as external storytelling, media outreach/engagement, influencer strategy, and/or Fannie Mae’s owned channels to ensure effective communication.

The Marketing and Communications - Communications Strategy - Lead Associate role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:

  • Create, schedule, implement, and oversee communications programs that highlight Fannie Mae’s resources and tools to help Consumers throughout their housing journey.
  • Write, prepare, and/or review communications (articles, bylines, pitches, talking points) to be leveraged in various External Communications channels and mediums.
  • Develop various communications for creative storytelling, media engagement, sponsored content and/or creating articles for Fannie Mae’s owned channels.
  • Collaborate with different business units and program/product teams to develop communications strategy.

Qualifications

THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM

Minimum Required Experiences:

  • 4 years
  • The group of skills related to Communication, including communicating in writing or verbally, copywriting, engagement with media, planning, and distributing communication, etc.
  • Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
  • Working with people with different functional expertise respectfully and cooperatively to work toward a common goal
  • Experience gathering accurate information to explain concepts and answer critical questions
  • Skilled in creating visual concepts, creating content, and editing content by hand or with the help with computer software to communicate ideas
  • The group of skills related to Relationship Management including managing and engaging stakeholders, customers, and vendors, building relationship networks, contracting, etc.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office
  • Experience using Cision

Desired Experiences:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • The group of skills related to Influencing including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
  • Adept at managing project plans, resources, and people to ensure successful project completion
  • Experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
  • Experience using SharePoint
  • Experience using Google Analytics
