Position Overview:
We are seeking a Consulting Manager to lead our Security Implementations Team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of security projects across Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments, ensuring excellence in execution and exceptional client satisfaction. You will leverage your expertise in cloud-based security, on-premises infrastructure, and relevant compliance frameworks such as CMMC and DFARS to drive impactful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Security Implementations Team in delivering high-quality security projects for clients in Microsoft 365 and hybrid environments.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft 365 security, including Defender for Office 365, Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Identity, Defender for Cloud Apps, Azure Active Directory, and the Purview Suite.
- Oversee the design and implementation of security controls, policies, and compliance frameworks (e.g., CIS benchmarks, Zero Trust, MFA, FIDO, and identity governance).
- Collaborate with clients to understand their unique security and compliance requirements, including those related to CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement).
- Conduct security assessments and provide recommendations for improving security postures in line with regulatory and contractual obligations.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with client expectations.
- Stay current with the latest security trends, threats, and technologies to advise clients effectively.
- Work closely with other internal teams and stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in IT security, with a focus on Microsoft 365 security implementations and on-premises infrastructure.
- Proven experience leading and managing technical consulting teams.
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft 365 security features, configurations, and best practices.
- Solid experience in on-premises infrastructure, including Active Directory, Windows Server, and networking fundamentals.
- Strong knowledge of compliance frameworks, including CMMC, DFARS, CIS, NIST, and ISO 27001.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Certifications (preferred or required):
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
- Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate
- Microsoft Certified: Information Protection and Compliance Administrator Associate
- CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) or similar
