Senior Finance Manager, Brands Finance

Brands Finance is seeking a dynamic, self-driven and motivated problem-solving Senior Finance Manager to join the Marketing Optimization and Marketing Finance team. This is a great opportunity to expand your knowledge of our Brands (Brand Expedia, Portfolio, Hotels.com and Vrbo) during an exciting time as we look across brands and geos to gain synergies and scale.

This role will support Gross Profit (GP) rates by brand, product, and marketing channel to ensure profit rate estimates used operationally accurately reflect the unit economics of the next transaction. In this highly impactful role, you will develop a deep understanding of all P&L items impacting Gross Profit and partner closely with a wide array of business partners across finance, analytics, marketing, and engineering to ensure operational needs are met for critical decision making. A key aspect of this role is driving forecasting and planning rhythms for GP, as well as helping steer and prioritize Expedia-wide finance initiatives as we migrate to one source data.

What you’ll do: 

• Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 finance professionals

• Responsibility for GP rate calculations utilized for bidding and other operational purposes

• Ensure GP rates are accurate and reflect latest economics for the next transaction by brand, geo, product, channel

• Partner across multiple divisions to understand P&L business drivers in order to improve GP rate accuracy and identify areas of opportunity

• Partner with engineering and product management to help drive financial system development prioritization, and help with adoption of Expedia Group's new data platform

• Lead a variety of projects to simplify and automate existing processes

Who you are:

• 8+ years of finance experience with growing responsibilities; management experience is a plus

• High level of intellectual curiosity that drives sense of ownership and desire for continuous improvement

• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of management

• Advanced analytic, modeling, forecasting, and presentation skills

• Results driven and highly motivated, with the ability to think big and small

• Able to lead and influence decisions across various internal functions

• Ability to interpret and present data in a visually compelling format to financial and non-financial audiences

• Passion for using data to drive better decision-making

• Comfortable working with ambiguity in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $146,000 to $204,500. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $233,500, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience.  Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
