Job Description:

Summary:

The Associate, Baseball Technology & Video will assist in the department's daily operations, focusing on capturing, organizing, and managing video and data to support the Mets’ Player Development system. This role offers hands-on experience working directly with technology systems and coaching staff at our spring training complex and the affiliate level locations.

This is an ideal opportunity for individuals interested in gaining practical experience in Baseball Technology, Analytics, and Operations within a collaborative, professional setting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist with the setup, operation, and quality control of video and data capture systems during games, practices, and reconditioning sessions

• Assist with pre-series and daily advance game strategy reports

• Collaborate with the coaching staff and Player Development personnel to provide the data and video needed for player evaluation and development

• Help with the installation, upkeep, and troubleshooting of equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations

• Provide feedback and improvement ideas to Baseball Systems and Baseball Analytics on how resources are being utilized at each affiliate

• Assist with basic video editing, organization, and tagging of game footage to enhance accessibility for staff and players

• Work closely with other associates and staff members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively

Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of baseball and its various facets, including player evaluation and game strategy
• Familiarity with video systems or data collection tools is a plus but not required; training will be provided
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to think critically to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency preferred
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus
• Must be able to work unconventional hours
