RUN Studios, and its client partner, a large online retailer headquartered in Seattle, are seeking an ACD/Senior Art Director to join for an approximate 5-month project!
We are seeking an experienced ACD/Senior Art Director to help bring new offerings to market, including products, services, brands, and categories. In this role, you’ll create a variety of assets used to engage and attract customers, working alongside a global team of designers, writers, and production teams to deliver compelling creative.
The ideal candidate has experience working in an iterative process, professionally leading art direction, and effectively addressing feedback. In addition to strong design skills, you should bring excellent organizational abilities, typographic expertise, web design fluency, and acute attention to detail.
You should feel comfortable working with stakeholders at all levels—from entry-level to executive—and collaborating with a wide range of creative professionals. Because the work is fast-paced and varied, this role requires excellent communication and collaboration skills. You’ll partner closely with customer research, brand strategy, content strategy, go-to-market, and merchandising teams to achieve strategic goals.
As an ACD/Senior Art Director, You Will
- Create merchandising and marketing campaigns that elevate the brand across multiple online and offline channels
- Mentor (but not manage) a team of visual designers and production designers
- Build trust, respect, and credibility with stakeholders and leadership
- Develop bar-raising creative that supports and reinforces product vision, brand, and business objectives
- Advocate for customers and integrate user research into the creative process
- Demonstrate strong command of creative tools, methods, communication, and presentation skills
- Partner with customer and market research teams to synthesize insights into impactful, results-driven creative
- Grow team knowledge of best design practices and trends
As an Applicant, You Bring
- Online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating online marketing, retail merchandising, visual branding, and user-centered design solutions
- 6+ years of professional experience in a creative agency
- Experience working with large tech companies
- Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Sketch/Adobe XD, Figma, and other image-optimizing tools
- Curiosity about emerging product and technology trends
- Ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to confidently defend design decisions
- Familiarity with content management systems
- Experience working within and contributing to design systems
- Proven ability to work through rapid, iterative concepting and development cycles
- Skilled at managing multiple projects with varying deadlines
- Deep understanding of the creative process—from ideation through implementation
- Knowledge of production best practices for still, video, and motion graphics
