A Day in the Life

The Sr. Convention Specialist leads the planning and execution of high‑impact conventions and exhibits that showcase our brand and strategic priorities. This role is ideal for a highly organized, creative marketing professional who enjoys owning end‑to‑end programs, managing multiple details at once, and being accountable for budgets while delivering engaging, well‑executed experiences.

Beyond events, this role builds skills in strategic planning, creative problem‑solving, vendor partnership, and cross‑functional collaboration—making it a strong opportunity for someone passionate about brand experiences and interested in growing into broader marketing roles.

         

         

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans and implements product exhibits at conventions, exhibits, sales conferences, and/or symposia.
  • Arranges for specific events at national conventions and may also participate in international conventions.
  • Works with vendors to arrange space, literature, hotels, equipment rental, and set-up and dismantling of the exhibit.
  • Plans and coordinates the routing of exhibits shipped for the convention program.
  • Develops plans, budgets, and generates reports providing information on cost-per-contact, audience profiles, and representatives' comments.
  • Works with marketing and sales departments on show selection decisions.
  • Remains current on new trends in exhibit design.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Marketing experience
  • Booth design experience
  • Environmental experience.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$78,400.00 - $117,600.00

 

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
