Major Responsibilities:- Establishes system strategy and platform for nursing practice excellence including strategies around care model and technology innovations to improve nursing care efficiencies, patient engagement and outcomes. Insures integration of evidence into practice.
- Develops and implements the strategic direction for the Nursing Research, Quality, and Professional Practice ensuring the plan is consistent with the organization and Nursing Strategic Plan. Develops and implements the annual operating plans and programs necessary to meet the strategic direction which involves preparing annual budgets showing the expected operation and financial outcomes.
- Leads and facilitates the development of standard nursing practice. Identifies national and best practice benchmarks by which to measure nursing clinical quality. Creates a Center which utilizes IHI school principles to train and support nurses for completing effective quality improvement projects and initiatives. Evaluates clinical effectiveness and sets priorities for improvement.
