We are actively looking for a Civil Engineer/Manager with Water Resources experience to join our Farnham, London, or Exeter office. The successful candidate will manage/lead marine infrastructure design projects for both the public and private sectors.

Duties and responsibilities:

- Leads and manages the preparation of design documents, calculation reports and specifications for waterfront/marine civil site development (site layout, grading, storm water, erosion control, utilities, and other infrastructure systems)
- Plan, schedule work, and complete work assignments within established budget and timelines
- Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans
- Perform limited field observations in support of construction and data collection
- Determine project costs by calculating labor, material, and related costs.
- Creates feasibility study by analyzing engineering design, conducting environmental impact studies, and assembling data.
- Confirms adherence to construction specifications and safety standards by monitoring project progress, inspecting construction site, and verifying calculations and placements
- Conduct site visits and attend client meetings as necessary.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil Engineering from an accredited university degree program
- Chartered Engineer registration; required
- 15 to 20 years of experience in site/civil engineering design including grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology, stormwater, erosion sediment control, and environmental permitting
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience with competence in managing projects, budgets, proposal writing, and coordination with clients
- Competence in general civil engineering design is required including roadway, paving, grading, drainage, hydraulics and hydrology water, and sanitary sewer
- Experience in waterfront development projects desired but not required
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microsoft Word and Excel required
- Desired proficiency with XPSWMM, Hydraulic Modeling Systems (HEC), USDA Technical Releases (TR), MicroStation products
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
- All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
Working conditions:
Majority of work is office based. Some site visits may be required which may necessitate navigating unpaved or natural terrain while carrying equipment.
