What you will do:

Plan, organize and conduct or arrange for training programs/seminars for Nutrien Ag Solutions Inc. supervisors and employees, with regards to WHMIS, Fall Protection, Safety Orientation, Personal Protection Equipment, CPR/First Aid, industry specific related issues and other occupational safety issues

Perform job site safety compliance inspections including hazard analysis, safe work procedures, written reports and recommendations

Monitor adherence to the company safety program by all Nutrien Ag Solutions Inc. employees and subcontractors

Coordinate a Joint Health and Safety Committee with sites of 10 or more employees

Assist with development and implementation of site specific occupational safety issues and decisions

Provide advice to management and other employee groups on a broad range of occupational safety issues and decisions

Develop and conduct monthly occupational safety training for various workgroups, including evaluation of programs to meet local, provincial and federal OH&S requirements

Coordinate regular inspections, investigations, and occupational safety activities at location

Investigate incidents, and determine root cause, such as injuries, vehicle accidents and property damage and oversee preparation of corrective action plans for each incident

Review the analysis of accident and injury data, identifying the needs for new or modified occupational safety programs

Research occupational safety information to assure the best available methods and equipment are adopted to minimize the hazards in the organization

Lead and/or participate on teams with safety, technical, management, and other team members

Assist locations in implementing fleet safety and programs such as, driver qualification files and defensive driving training

Participate in audits and responsible to ensure audit corrective actions are completed in a timely manner

Perform other duties as required
What you will bring:
-
3+ years' experience in occupational health and safety in an agricultural or industrial establishment

Driver’s license required
-
Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations

Proficiency with database applications and administration systems, specifically Microsoft Office
