The HR Data Analyst will play a vital role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting HR data to provide insights and support data-driven HR decision-making. Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Collects, analyzes, and interprets HR data and metrics from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develops and maintains HR dashboards, reports, and presentations that effectively communicate findings to HR and business leaders.
- Conducts research and gathers market intelligence on HR best practices, industry trends, and benchmarks to enhance HR programs and processes.
- Supports the design, implementation, and evaluation of HR programs, policies, and initiatives based on data analysis and insights.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to gather HR data requirements, ensure data accuracy and integrity, and automate reporting processes when possible.
- Performs in-depth data analysis to identify areas for improvement, cost-saving opportunities, and efficiency enhancements in HR operations.
- Assists in the development and implementation of employee surveys, analyzing results, and providing recommendations for action.
- Partners with HR business partners and other stakeholders to understand their data needs, provide analytical support, and deliver data-driven insights.
- Stays abreast of changes in HR laws, regulations, and best practices to ensure data compliance and inform HR policies and procedures.
- Assists in the preparation of HR reports for the senior leadership team presentations.
- Collaborates on special HR projects and initiatives as assigned.
- Maintains data confidentiality and handle sensitive information with utmost discretion.

- Participation in relevant professional development learning opportunities to maintain currency in the field.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP).
- Prior experience in a higher education technology environment.
- Plus two years of experience in HR analytics, HR reporting, or a related analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret data from various HR systems and sources.
- Proficient in using HRMS, HRIS, or other relevant systems and tools to extract and analyze HR data.
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) to create impactful reports and dashboards.
- Solid understanding of HR metrics, analytics methods, and statistical concepts.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data and findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work independently, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
- Knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, and analyze significant amounts of information with strict attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret data and use it to drive business decisions.
- At least three years of experience analyzing data in complex organization with large constituencies or populations.
- Ability to collaborate with others, working independently and with team members.
- Ability to handle a variety of projects and tasks simultaneously and balance competing deadlines. Will work in a diligent fashion to ensure timelines are followed closely and met consistently.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Understanding of analytical problem solving methodologies.
- Prior use and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, with emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
