 AESC US is currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for a General Ledger Accountant based in Santa Clara, CA.

 

JOB TITLE: GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT

 

YOUR MISSION:
 
 
Responsible for general accounting activities, preparation of financial statements related reconciliation schedules, review of close items and supporting audit and reviews from external auditors. Administers approved accounting practices throughout the company to assure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the conditions of the business and provide reliable information for effective operations. ERP system improvements and new system integrations.
 
A DAY IN THE LIFE:

  • Responsible for preparing global financial statement account reconciliations, including but not limited to Accounts receivable, accounts payable, fixed assets, intangible assets, other receivable and other assets, other payable and other liabilities. 
  • Responsible for coordination with various regions and entities within the company to gather financial data and supporting documents.
  • Prepare intercompany transaction reconciliation and elimination. 
  • Prepare consolidated balance sheet and income statement line-item reconciliation. 
  • Prepare financial statements related schedules and packages for consolidation and consolidated financial reporting.
  • Maintains oversight within the Company for the accuracy and compliance of accounting transactions and processes.
  • Collaborates with the Internal Controls team to conduct periodical self-audits of internal systems and procedures. Works with Internal Controls to improve process controls and efficiency.
  • Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities to meet the designated deadlines, goals and objectives.
     

MUST-HAVES:

  • Four-year college degree in an accounting related field or relevant accounting education. CPA.
  • Big 4 experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS or US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Preferred SAP System experience
  • Preferred Accounting, consolidation and reporting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

 

Computer Skills and Required Software Experience:

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
